The fight is far from over!

Wednesday, January 09, 2008

So far, all the republican candidates have truly proven is that they are far from infallible.

Huckabee beat out Romney in Iowa after he spent loads of money trying to buy support.

Thompson placed third, with McCain not far behind, and Giulliani placed a dismal 6th.

Ron Paul Placed 5th.

Flash forward to New Hampshire.

Now McCain wins the race with Romney behind again, and Huckabee, the darling of evangelical Iowa, placing a distant 3rd.

Giulliani placed 4th, barely, and Thompson placed a dismal 6th.

Ron Paul Placed 5th.

What does this say? In the battle for the hearts and minds of Americans, all of the candidates thus far have proven only that they are polarizing figures, and score wildly different when put to the test at the polls that count. All of the Major candidates have shown only that they are defeatable.

Ron Paul has remained steady. He is proof that there is a dissenting voice amongst the American people and it's getting heard all over the United States. People are showing that they're willing to stand behind him, and they're making it heard at the polls.

No, this is far from over. Though I felt that there would be a surprise in New Hampshire, I'm glad now that there wasn't. Our people are out there, and they want to be heard. Even if we place 5th at every caucus, there is one thing that will remain clear: People are tired of the establishment candidates and they are rising up to be heard almost as quickly as they hear our message.

Clinton/McCain? No. That's not what we want. Even if we lose this election one thing will remain clear: We have started a movement whose echoes will stir others into action and will have a domino effect across the country. I am in no way dismayed by today's results. I am enlightened by them.

In a world that has been dominated by chaos for so long, our rise will be slow and steady- and we will win the race, no matter how long it takes.
